About The Staff

Cathie joined Team Leatherman in 1994, but she got her start working for an orthodontist back in 1966. She's been married since 1969 to Bill, and has two sons, Michael and Matthew, a daughter-in-law, Chrissy, and three grandchildren, Alex, Austin, and Hayley.

An avid fan of golf and Ohio State, Cathie enjoys "keeping up with everything new" as a part of Team Leatherman, but also appreciates "the way we all work together and get along."

Maureen has over 30 years of dental hygiene experience in both public health and private practice. A graduate of Cuyahoga Community College, she’s a member of the American, Ohio, and Lorain County Dental Hygienists’ Associations. She has been a member of Team Leatherman since 1996.

Married with two sons, Maureen enjoys the family aspect of the practice - treating patients of all ages - “children through the elderly,” working with the wonderful staff, and the fact that Dr. Leatherman keeps current with changes in the dental industry. “There’s always something new to learn!” she says.

Kathi had already taken an interest in dentistry - and pursued it at Lorain County Community College - when she answered an ad to work for Dr. Leatherman back in 1989. He trained her as a dental assistant, and she’s worked with him ever since!

Kathi feels her career is very rewarding. As someone who’s worked with the developmentally disabled in the past, she “knows how important a smile can be”… which leaves her especially appreciative of the continued education she receives as part of Team Leatherman, the people she works with, and the people she helps - “Our patients are great!”

Stephanie has been in the dental field for 11 years. She graduated from Vermilion High School in 1993, attended Tri-C and graduated in 1995 as a certified dental assistant. She decided to further her career in the dental field and went back to school in 2000 at Case Western Reserve University. Stephanie received her Expanded Function Dental Certificate in 2001.

Having two children keeps her on the go when not at work. She enjoys spending time with her husband Bill and kids at Cedar Point Amusement Park and going for walks in the Metro Parks. She loves her job and looks forward to helping to restore your smile.

Leigh Ann first realized her passion for dentistry when she worked as a dental assistant in the late 1990's. She loved offering patient care and working to help others. After taking a break in dentistry to start a family, Leigh Ann earned an Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene and became a registered dental hygienist (RDH) in May 2006.

Leigh Ann enjoys helping patients understand the role of oral health as it relates to overall health. She is thrilled to become an integral part of Team Leatherman Care in our dedication to providing excellent care for our dental patients.

In addition to her "dental" family, Leigh Ann and her husband Scot have two children to keep them moving! They enjoy boating, biking and sports as a family.

Nicole has been in the dental field for more than 15 years. She started her dental career as a laboratory technician. She realized that becoming a dental hygienist would be most rewarding. She loves to help patients maintain good oral health. In May 2007, Nicole graduated from Lorain County Community College with an Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene.

Nicole is proud to be a part of Team Leatherman and continually strives to increase her knowledge in patient care. She enjoys being a part of a team that is committed to providing the best care possible for our patients. Nicole is the mother of two, Michael and Mallory. She likes to spend her free time with family and friends. She has an active social life enjoying sporting events, concerts, book clubs, and the occasional pasta Saturday.

Jean has been very happy to be part of "Team Leatherman" for the last 2 years. While doing some "fill-in" work for longtime friend Cathie Jacobs, she was pleased to become a part of Dr. Leatherman's staff. Jean has been in the dental field for 40 years, while working both as an assistant and an office manager. She started her dental career at Ohio State University in their dental school.

Jean is married to Dirk, with whom will soon celebrate 40 years together. They have 3 daughters, Carrie, Amy, and Karli, and are blessed with 2 beautiful grandchildren and 2 great sons-in-law. In her spare time Jean enjoys walking, jogging, and any type of physical activity. She loves the Ohio State Football Season - it is all about "GO BUCKS". She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and feels so lucky to have many wonderful people in her life.
