Meet the Dentist

It Starts with Tom Leatherman, DDS (Dr. Tom)…

I am so fortunate to be practicing dentistry now with all of the new and improved techniques available to dentists today. I am even more fortunate to be surrounded by such a caring staff. They really do treat each of our patients like family. We strive for all of our wonderful patients to reach optimal oral health, so they can enjoy that perfect checkup every six months.

After receiving my bachelor’s degree from Miami of Ohio, I earned my DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) at Case Western Reserve University in 1985. I have achieved Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry, which requires over five hundred hours of continuing education. I am currently a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, Lorain County Dental Society, Phi Beta Kappa, MENSA, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and The American Academy of Computerized Dentistry.

My wife, Judy, and I have two children, Laura and Tommy, who are the joys of our life. My hobbies include music appreciation as well as performance (I play keyboards in five different bands), photography, camping, rafting, fly-fishing, scuba, computers, and general gadgetry (my nickname is Dr. Gadget).
